Hey batter batter, bark!

Join the Greater Birmingham Humane Society at Regions Field on Sunday, July 31 at 6 p.m. as they partner with the Birmingham Barons for Babe Ruff’s Park in the Park.

The Barons take on the Tennessee Smokies, and Birmingham’s dogs and owners are invited to attend the game and meet other four-legged friends while being entered to win a set of floor seat tickets to see Adele in concert! Owners and dogs are both required to have a ticket for entry into the game, and dogs will only be permitted in the outfield, picnic and breezeway areas. General admission tickets range from $7 to $14 and can be purchased by visiting www.milb.com/schedule/index.jsp?sid=t247. Dog tickets are $10 and will only be available for purchase at the Parkside entrance across from Railroad Park. Reentry into the park is permitted with a dog ticket.

With the purchase of a dog ticket, owners will be entered to win a set of Adele tickets. An additional 20 chances to win can be purchased for $20 by visiting any of the tables located throughout the park or by texting PAWS to 5200 and showing the text confirmation to table attendants. The winner will be announced in the seventh inning and must be present to win. The GBHS T.A.R.A. van will be at the event with adoptable dogs and more information about the shelter. There will also be a pre-game demonstration from the Birmingham Police SRT K9 Unit. Cool down areas with kiddie pools and watering stations will be located throughout the dog area of the park.
