Join us for our third year of GBHS Paw-liday Camp! Paw-liday Camp will be two separate full day camps from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Paw-liday Camp allows kids to come in and work on enrichment activities and get hands-on experience with the shelter animals - all with a winter-themed spin!
Paw-liday Camp is for ages 6-12 years old.
The registration fee is $60.00 per day. Space is limited. Please be sure to select the correct camp dates.

WHAT TO BRING TO CAMP

Join us for our first GBHS Paw-liday Camp of the new year! Paw-liday Camp will be a one-day camp from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM with a good samaritan spin for Random Acts of Kindness Day! You can sign your camper up for this one-day session as space is available!
Paw-liday Camp allows kids to come in and work on enrichment activities and get hands-on experience with the shelter animals - all with a themed spin!
Paw-liday Camp is for ages 6-12 years old.

Vaccine Clinic- Bessemer

Join us on Saturday for our Pet Wellness Clinic! Pet owners will be able to receive free vaccines for their pets!

Vaccines for dogs include:
Rabies
DA2PPV
Bordetella

Cats will receive vaccinations for:
Rabies
FVRCP

This is a drive-through clinic (four animals max per vehicle), so owners will stay in their cars. All dogs must be on a leash, and cats must be in a carrier.

Vaccines are limited to the first 100 dogs and 25 cats, so please arrive early.

Pet owners who cannot make it to the Pet Wellness Clinic but are interested in free or low-cost vaccinations are encouraged to visit GBHS.org/PetResources or email PetPantry@gbhs.org.

VIP Day (Wednesday): 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Thursday to Saturday: 10:00 am - 7:00 pm
Sunday: 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm

TARA, the Greater Birmingham Humane Society's mobile adoption RV, will be present with adorable adoptable dogs.

Each October, Hendrick Subaru showcases their commitment to pets by donating $100 for every pet adopted from GBHS.*

4th Annual Putts for Paws

The Greater Birmingham Humane Society Young Professionals Board is very excited to announce the annual Putts for Paws golf tournament on October 4, 2024, at the beautiful Highland Park Golf Course.

Attendees will have the opportunity to play 18 holes of golf, followed by an awards ceremony.

Registration will begin at 11am and the tournament will tee off at noon. Lunch will be provided to each golfer. There will also be a silent auction and the chance to win some amazing prizes by participating in fun and challenging games throughout the afternoon. Pooches on the Patio

Grab your pup and get ready to PAWty! Vino, Birmingham’s premier Mediterranean restaurant, is hosting its annual Pooches on the Patio event to celebrate its 13th anniversary. Sponsored by Tito's Handmade Vodka, the event will be held Thursday, Sept. 19 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. and will benefit the Greater Birmingham Humane Society (GBHS). Vino will be featuring classic Vino dishes along with its regular menu.


Guests are invited to bring their dogs and join the celebration, and the GBHS will also be onsite with adoptable dogs. The event’s featured will both be made with Tito’s, and a portion of sales will benefit the GBHS. Tito’s will also be at the event giving out Vodka for Dog People merchandise to attendees and will set up a photo booth for guests and their four-legged friends.
