About the Challenge
Michelson Found Animals in partnership with NBC & Telemundo stations are excited to announce the Fund the Shelters Challenge. This exciting new Challenge brings together two successful existing programs - the Michelson Found Animals Saving Pets Challenge campaign and NBC and Telemundo owned stations’ Clear the Shelters annual pet adoption campaign. The Fund the Shelters Challenge offers a new, bigger opportunity for animal welfare organizations to raise funds to support lifesaving programs and to help offset reduced or waived adoption fees during Clear the Shelters Day (August 17). 

The Fund the Shelters Challenge is open to animal welfare organizations dedicated to keeping pets out of shelters and in loving homes. This includes, but is not limited to, shelters and rescue groups participating in Clear the Shelters. 

Participating organizations will compete for $200,000 in grand prizes and Bonus Challenges to help further their missions. 

- The team that raises the most during the Challenge wins a $50,000 donation 
- Second place gets $35,000 
- Third gets $20,000 
- Fourth gets $15,000 
- Fifth gets $10,000 
- Sixth gets $5,000 

And, the best part of the Challenge is that you get to keep the money you raise during the campaign, whether or not you win any prize money!!
