This clinic will include a Heartworm test, 6 months of prevention medication if the pet is negative for Heartworms, and treatment guidance if the pet tests positive.

Please park in front of the GBHS Adoption Center at 300 Snow Drive, Birmingham, AL 35209. A staff member will come to your vehicle to check you in for the clinic. When it is time for your dog's test you will be called inside, and blood will be drawn for Heartworm testing. While the test is running (approx. 10 minutes), you and your pet will be asked to wait in your vehicle. If your pet is negative, we will bring your record and preventatives to you. If your pet is positive, we will call you inside to discuss further treatment options with the veterinarian.

Appointments: No appointment required, though some wait time should be expected.
