Solutionaries: Empowering Change for Animal Welfare
The Solutionaries Program invites passionate high school juniors and seniors from Jefferson County to apply for a unique opportunity to become community changemakers and animal advocates. This selective program empowers students with the skills, resources, and support needed to tackle pressing issues and drive meaningful change. Through hands-on projects, mentorship, and collaborative efforts, participants will engage in impactful initiatives that benefit both the community and animal welfare, while developing leadership and problem-solving abilities. By joining the Solutionaries Program, students take an active role in shaping a better future for their community and beyond.

Solutionaries: Structure & Focus
Solutionaries operates with a club/member structure, fostering a supportive network of individuals. Members are encouraged to engage, collaborate, and drive change through various roles and responsibilities within the club. Once accepted, members meet twice a month at the Greater Birmingham Humane Society.
Educational Focus: Each session provides valuable insights into pressing animal welfare issues. Our program covers a range of topics including rescue efforts, ethical treatment, and community outreach, ensuring that members are well-informed and equipped to advocate for animal rights.
Service Projects: Central to the Solutionaries experience is the completion of a service project. Members collectively select a project that aligns with their interests and skills, working together to implement initiatives that address specific needs in animal welfare.
